After the shrink wrap is sealed around the package, the hand-held heat gun heats and shrinks the shrink wrap film, sealing the package. A second method of sealing shrink film is shrink Wrap L sealers. They are capable of quickly cutting shrink wrap without the smoke and odor of a standard straight bar sealer. The two-sided cut provides a better seal and speeds up packaging.
